September 3, 2019Our buddy, Joseph, found this YouTube gem today – a series John Shumway did for KDKA-TV in 1993 about the radio business at the time. It features many familiar faces in studios that have been jettisoned or, at the very least, modernized. Take a look and enjoy!
I missed getting into radio back in 1985 and did see changes coming that I didn\’t like, but it was my own immaturity that held me back. I wish I had gone on and dun it, but such is life. This series takes me back to such a simpler time and I find it so good to see a historical view of Picksburgh radio that is a lot of what I remember; the stations, changes and people. Thanks, Joseph for sharing this and keep up the good work, Eric. btw – I pray for you often in your journey.
