KDKA welcomes new Meteorologist
October 14, 2025KDKA-TV recently announced the arrival of Rob Wilson as weekend morning meteorologist while filling the void left by Kristin Emery’s retirement in August. This will be a reunion of sorts as Wilson, a native of Fox Chapel, worked with Chief-but-they-stop-shy-of-calling-him-that-Meteorologist Ray Petelin at WICU in Erie. Wilson has also worked at stations in Florida and Arizona.
Mr. Wilson has been in the world of money since at least 2013 as a financial advisor and will continue in that role even after he starts his freelance role at KDKA on or near October 25. He will appear on an “as needed” basis – mainly on weekends.
