Long-time KDKA employee, Aviva Radbord had this to share about Mr. Mease:

Ken Mease was the weekend sportscaster for KDKA-TV’s “Eyewitness News” in the late 1960’s, when Dick Stockton was sports director…It was quite, a team

He briefly returned to KDKA-TV, in later years — and was brilliant, in covering the Steelers, on the road, and at home — a terrific writer and on-air talent.

However, Ken Mease really made his mark as a sportscaster at Washington, DC’s WUSA-TV.

Editor’s note: I apologize for the initial misspelling of Mr. Mease’s name when first posting, although, the proper spelling was in front of me the whole time. All errors within this article have been edited to the proper spelling.
