Steve Clendenin, who under the Maryland Media One umbrella owns WCNS (1480 Latrobe) and WXJX (910 Apollo) locally, suffered a major loss tonight at his newly acquired stations at the Carolina coast at the border of the two states. A large fire heavily damaged the office complex where the stations, WMIR and WYAY had just moved in.

Clendenin does a lot of traveling between Havre de Grace, Maryland, Pittsburgh, and Myrtle Beach. Pittsburgh area jock, Dennis Elliott voice tracks on “Carolina Gold” each evening and does morning drive for WCNS.

UPDATE: Clendenin plans to have the programming running by 5:00 a.m. 10/29
