Project Bundle-up Auction begins

WTAE-TV’s Project Bundle-Up Auction begins Friday, March 16 and runs through April 6. This is the 31st annual auction, which used to be held live on television, but for the last several years has been online over the course of a couple of weeks. This longtime project is done in partnership with the Salvation Army of Western Pennsylvania. The money raised goes to purchase new outerwear for local children and senior citizens in need during cold winter seasons.

The public can preview the nearly 350 items, and learn more about the bidding process at WTAE.com. Direct bidding will take place at projectbundleup.org beginning Friday.

In the over 30 years that the station has operated this project, $14.1 million has been raised for the Salvation Army Western Pennsylvania division. Over 275,000 needy children and senior citizens have annotated from this project.
