Remembering Charlie Mitchell

Friends and coworkers of Charlie Mitchell are remembering him fondly this morning on Social Media. Mitchell, a long-time announcer and DJ in Pittsburgh died Tuesday. PBRTV was given an unconfirmed report he had recently suffered a major health event.

A native of Butler County, Mitchell is best known for his work at country outlet, WDSY (107.9) where he worked from 1992-2004 and later as a “weekend/swing” personality from 2008 until being furloughed by the pandemic. He was also a co-owner of DMP West, Inc. where he was also president as well as a voice and production talent.
