Remembering Robin Marshall
May 19, 2025PBRTV has just learned of the death of Robin Marshall. Marshall’s father was the late Perry Marshall who was a mainstay at KDKA, KQV, WJAS and WEEP. Robin, after dealing with her father’s November 2011 death, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer around 2013. She fought the battle openly and publicly on Facebook and other forms of social media as she battled the disease courageously – even as diagnoses for breast and skin cancer were added to the list. Her battle ended over the weekend after 12-years.
Marshall followed on the footsteps of her father’s career carrying forth as an on-air personality and, more recently, a voiceover artist. But according to her daughter’s social media tribute, Marshall was a teen model, the lead singer of a number of bands – one of whom had been an opener for the Doobie Brothers, and even a self-publishing author. Once retired she picked up art – both creating and selling as well as teaching classes. Apparently that list doesn’t include various other businesses she had a role in.
Robin was an alum of Taylor Allderdice High School and had worked in radio for 35 years – many of them in New York city. She was living in Florida at the time of her death,
Requiescat in Pacem. May her memory be blessed.
