Tidbits

We were on vacation last week and we had a couple of big stories break during that time. But we had a couple of smaller ones too.

  • We reported it back in April, but now Forever Media has completed the sale of WOHI (1490) East Liverpool to Ohio Midland Newsgroup, LLC. The sale included 1490’s FM translator W280FL (103.9 East Liverpool. Right now they’re simulcasting WOMP (100.5 Bellaire). Thanks to alert Ohio Valley reader Jason R. for the discovery!
  • The Polka on-air world has lost another member of its tribe in Li’l John Nalevanko who died last week after a brief illness and hospital stay. Nalevanko was on the air for the better part of 4, if not 5, decades. He was most recently heard Saturday mornings on Westmoreland stations WJFA and WJFG. (Hat tip: Nick M.)
