Meteorologist Brian Hutton Jr. will join the WTAE-TV (4) weather team replacing Cam Tran who recently left for sister station WESH in Orlando. Hutton has worked at stations in Mississippi and North Carolina and has seen everything from severe snow storms to hurricanes. He also serves as an Adjunct Lecturer in meteorology as Mississippi State University. But his arrival at WTAE is a homecoming as Hutton grew up in Johnstown, and his wife Jenny is from Monroeville. The couple met at California University of Pennsylvania. You’ll see Mr. Hutton on Saturday and Sunday mornings beginning April 17.

Tomorrow (Tuesday 3/16), Entercom stations (KDKA-AM 1020 and FM 100.1; KDKA-FM 93.7; WBZZ New Kensington 100.7; and WDSY 107.9) will team up with local grocer Giant Eagle for the “Feed the Need Radiothon” for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. This falls on the first anniversary of the food bank’s initial COVID-19 response and their many drive-up distribution sites and food pantries in the region over the last year. The first event last year supplied 1.5 million meals to those who needed them as the pandemic lock down took hold. All four stations will feature interviews and live broadcasts throughout the day Tuesday.
