Pittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation stations WESA (90.5) and WYEP (91.3) began seeking local, experienced musicians on Monday for the stations’ second “Artists-in-Residence” program. Applicants must be age 18 or older and will have the opportunity to compose, arrange, perform, and record original instrumental compositions used for themes, beds, and more for on-air, digital and video content.

“The program gives producers and music makers the space to create instrumental pieces that will be put to use in real-world applications. That is one of the biggest compliments an artist can get new ears getting to hear their work,” said Lauren DeMichiei who participated in the station’s first Artist-in-Residence program.

The last day to apply is July 19, 2023 at WYEP’s website or WESA’s website where complete instructions and requirements of the program are listed.
