Voy Forums

Before anyone else asks, I have no idea what has happened at the popular Voy Forum radio and TV discussion page. It was last updated on March 7. I’ve heard unconfirmed rumors regarding the moderator. No word where all of the negative commenters will go to spew their expert opinions on every format, news anchor, and management decision will go.

Quinn and Rose

Seems that very few people noticed that the 2-hour edition of Quinn and Rose program disappeared from the WBGG (970) airwaves late in March. The station is back to being a full-time sports station after about 6 months with Q&R.

KQV

KQV (1410) had to vacate its long-time (70ish years) Ross Township 5-tower transmitter site in late winter. The site will be maintained as a tower site for cell phone coverage. “Tower 4” (one of the two that have the night time lights) which had been the “driver” of the site for the 5000 watt station, is expected to become the cell tower. The rest are expected to come down. But as of this writing, they’re still there. County real estate records still show Calvary Inc. as the land owner.

As for the station itself, the transmitter is to be diplexed at WEDO (810) in North Versailles. There it will be able to boast a 5000 watt non-directional daytime signal but will have to drop to 75 watts at night. Broadcast Communications Inc. owner, Robert Stevens, expects to have the station on by midsummer.
