Bell officially out at KDKA

The agreement appears to be mutual, but Wendy Bell and KDKA Radio are no longer paired. Bell was removed from the air in early September after comments made earlier in the summer were posted to a Twitter account of a whistleblower.

The Tribune-Review reported that the clip was originally posted at the end of June, but did not garner attention until the anonymous Twitter post went viral.

Bell’s supporters were very vocal about their disapproval of the station’s decision at first, but seem to have mellowed out since. Recently, the afternoon drive slot has been manned by former KDKA-TV morning anchor, Rick Dayton.
