Koeppen & Dayton terminated at KDKA-TV

In a large round of cuts after the merger of CBS and Viacom last year, KDKA-TV anchors Susan Koeppen and Rick Dayton (evening and morning respectively) have been laid off. Koeppen has been with channel 2 since 2011 after a stint at CBS in New York as a consumer reporter – a job she once held at WTAE-TV (4). Dayton, meanwhile, had been a morning anchor at the station since 2009.

General Manager Chris Culugno released a statement saying, “We are restructuring various operations at CBS as part of our ongoing integration with Viacom, and to adapt to changes in our business, including those related to COVID-19.”
