Musical Chairs at Audacy Pittsburgh

A couple of weeks ago, “Cadillac Jack” (Tom Kapsalis) made his exit from WDSY (107.9) where he had been since 2022 – first in morning drive, and following a health issue afternoon drive. No reason was given as to his departure or whether or not it was a result of station owner, Audacy’s recent Chapter 13 bankruptcy filing.

Audacy announced today that Chris Mack will take over afternoons on Y-108. Mack has been working in the digital and on-air fill-in mode since being released from the morning show on KDKA-FM (93.7 “The Fan”) last year.

Mack got his start in State College, but has spent the majority of his career here in his home town, first at WBZZ (93.7 “B-94”) and its short-lived successor format WRKZ (93.7 “K-Rock). He moved over to Ardmore Boulevard as the midday host at WEAE (1250) when it was an ESPN affiliate. He’ll be back with the country format from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. weekdays.
