After 34 years at WTAE-TV, Sheldon Ingram will retire later in May to pursue an acting career.

Sheldon Ingram

Although Ingram wanted to make it to 35 years, he said the timing is right to make the move now. He has already appeared in an episode of a well-known TV show as well as a top-rated movie. His retirement will allow for him to put more time in seeking jobs and traveling when necessary.

Ingram, 64, wouldn’t tell the Tribune-Review what station bosses thought about his current acting jobs, which mught suggest the decision was an easy one.
