Tidbits

Now that we are into February, we regret to note our neglect in mentioning a switcheroo at WBGG (970) at the start of last month! The station is once again sporting the Fox Sports brand (all puns intended). The 5000 watt 4-tower-by-day; 8-tower-by-night station has been host to just about every sports format available since it changed from WWSW-AM in 2000. The station has its FM presence at 104.7 HD2.

News from the Windy City (Chicago) has it that former WTAE-TV morning meteorologist Demetrius Ivory has been promoted to Chief Meteorologist at WGN-TV. Ivory left Pittsburgh for the midday and early afternoon position at WGN in 2013. He takes over for the legendary Tom Skilling who retires this month after a 45 year career with the station. Ivory will take over the duties on February 29.
