WTYM for sale

May 20, 2020 Off By Eric O'Brien

It looks like WTYM (1380 Kittanning) is for sale and the FM translator is a part of the deal. That is according to a link at radiotvdeals.com. The ad is currently visible to station brokers and won’t go public for a couple of weeks so we don’t know what the asking price is, but would assume the tower site and studio equipment are a part of the deal too.

WTYM currently belongs to Family-Life Church. In August 2018, then-Pastor David Croyle had been arrested and charged with felony counts of statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor and more. The arrest happened just days before a scheduled party to cristen the FM translator.

In January of this year, Croyle, who also served as a town councilman, was found guilty of many of the charges mentioned above. Later it was announced that a new church board of directors had taken over the license for the station.
