Forever sells more to Family Life Ministries
August 5, 2026After recently closing a deal in which Family Life Ministries (FLM) acquired WKPL (92.1 Ellwood City, now WCGF-FM) from Forever Media, the two companies have reached another agreement under which FLM will purchase WOGI (104.3 Moon Township) and FM translator W288BO (105.5) for $1 million.
The transaction leaves Forever with WOGG (94.9 Oliver) as the only remaining local “Froggy” country station in the Pittsburgh region. The company also retains classic hits outlet WPKL (99.3 Uniontown), branded as “Pickle.”
For many years, WOGG, WOGH (103.5 Burgettstown) and WOGI operated as the “Froggy” trimulcast, providing regional country coverage around the Pittsburgh market. Forever repositioned each station over time to better serve the metro area. WOGG signed on as WASP-FM, WOGH began as WSTV-FM before becoming WRKY in Steubenville, Ohio, and WOGI originated as WOHI-FM in East Liverpool, Ohio. WOGH was later sold to Educational Media Foundation, which now operates it as WNKV.
I noticed with much chagrin the loss of 92.1 “The Pickle”. Came in nicely in my section of northwest Allegheny County.
Hopefully nothing will happen to the other great classic rock outlet that I can pick up here – 103.1 WKVE.
