WPXI flipping game shows July 4
June 27, 2022WPXI-TV (11) announced Monday the iconic game shows JEOPARDY! and Wheel of Fortune will flip time slots beginning July 4, 2022. “Wheel” will air at 7:00 p.m. and JEOPARDY! at 7:30.
The change is to align with the order the programs air in the rest of the country. There is no word as to whether the move is a station decision or if this was a directive from the distributor, CBS Media Ventures, though the latter scenario seems likely.
As of May, 2022, JEOPARDY! is the #1 non-prime time Monday through Friday program in Pittsburgh according to Nielsen. Both programs are in the top 10 with viewers 25-54.
For more than 30 years, WPXI has shown “Jeopardy!” before “Wheel of Fortune” in the prime access hour.
