According to the Daily American, a preliminary hearing for Somerset County radio personality and township supervisor will be held Wednesday (11/6). 68-year-old Roger Wahl was charged back in September with creating a fake online dating profile for a friend to lure men for sex. Wahl, the owner of WQZS (93.3 Meyersdale) sent nude photos of the apparent friend, taken without her permission, to two men – one of whom showed up at her residence. Wahl apparently tried to get the man to perform sexual acts on the woman. The charges against Wahl include: felony rape solicitation, third-degree felony identity theft, third-degree felony criminal use of a communication facility, invasion of privacy, recklessly endangering another person and unlawful dissemination of an intimate image.

If convicted, Wahl will be forced to sell the station as the FCC does not permit convited felons to own a broadcast license.
